Question, I was told you are allowed to use EMT and 1/2 air pipe, to mount a plastic box with a 5 HP AC drive inside, I do not believe that is true I did not find any thing in 110 or 314.23 that would support what I was told, only 1900 boxes. Any an all information is helpful. Thank you

This is not getting inspected so I dont care if its compliant or not. But out of curiosity, was the "nonelectrical equipoment" phrase recently added? My recollection was that used to be not there.

I started in the trade in '94, so my earliest Code book is '96, but it is in there.

Again, I think your install is fine, I just think it is technically a violation.

Technically the strut is supporting the regulators.
