10-3 NB with 14ga ground for dryer?

My 1968 house electrical dryer feed has 10-3 NM feed with 14ga ground. It was previously (originally) wired as a 3-wire receptacle (NEMA 10-50). Can I safely use this 14ga ground with modern 4-wire receptacle/dryer configuration?
