10 Amp Lighting Circuits

Is anyone who is under the 2023 NEC using 10 amp lighting circuits with #14 copper clad aluminum wire?

Copper weld makes it.
I got some at my shop. Did not price out any different than copper.
Less cost in materials vs more in labor cause of box fill and pig tailing all 10-2 copper clad to 12-2 copper for devices was a pain. Not worth it.

The smallest size I see on their web site is #12.

Even in the larger 12 & 10 AWG sizes how do you pigatail? I have not seen any standard "wire nut type" connectors that are listed for other than CU only.

In theory, it seems the copper cladding should make it compatible with CU-rated splices and terminations.

There are no OCPDs marked as required by 240.4(D)(3)(a) or (b), so there is no way to use 14 AWG CCA at this time.

Forget aluminum I was hoping they would open up it to 16 AWG romex. People have been using it on boats for years as 10 Amp lighting circuits.
