12/3 feed and GFCI breakers

I have done a search and I have not come up with the answer to this question. Will two GFCI breakers function correctly if I were to use a 12/3 to feed the two SA circuits for a kitchen? I am trying to avoid box fill problems and NOTHING will be on the same yoke.

I have a two gang in an appliance garage each duplex on a circuit, then I have 4 other duplexes to feed, so I will be making junctions in the basement. :eek:

Jim is 100% correct.

If box volume is driving the need for 12/3, then there is an unavoidable $$$ cost associated with the 2-pole GFCI. But is solves the problem as you state it.
 
1793, I take it this is an extension out of the 2gg, or is it simply a 2 SA GFCI upgrade on an existing split 12/3 BC's in the 2gg? If the latter, I third the motion from Jim & Al. rbj, Seattle
 
(6) individual GFI's are probably cheaper than the 2-pole breaker...if they'd actually fit in the boxes. They count the same as a $.49 duplex for box fill.
