Our county has a written proposed design change from 480 volt power (original) to 12 KVA (new) to be run from water's edge to utility transformers placed on a floating marina. To date, we haven't received the plans showing the proposed change. This has been done in several smaller municipalities by the company making the request. We will certainly require assurances from the serving utility prior to issuance of a permit. Are any of you familiar with equipment used in such installations and what is done to adequately insure public safety?
