Two voltages on one yoke a problem?

How's that any different than a nema 14 series with 2 hots, neutral, and ground? Provided the two hots and neutral all come from the same source.

Now if they made a single yoke 120v + 277v that would be bad....

How about this little guy

When I was in London, my hotel bathroom has a recep like this. But my understanding of that particular device was that it had a transformer built in. It wouldn’t power my wife’s hairdryer but it would charge my beard trimmer. It’s called a shaver receptacle. But the one I linked is hardwired for 120 or 240.

It’s power-limited. Commonly called a “shaver receptacle.”

In the UK, bathrooms have no normal electrical power other than the light fixture and possibly a towel warmer. Even the light switch is usually outside the door.

@Besoeker3 could probably provide a more accurate depiction.
