Good afternoon
I have a customer that had a 1200 amp 3 phase fpe main distribution panel in a building they are looking to buy. My question is do the larger breakers have the same problems as the smaller smaller fpe breakers

They should ask their insurance about it. Even if the model FPE switchgear / main wasn't recalled, insurance agencies have been requiring all FPE panels, breakers, etc. get replaced.
 
The FPE breaker issue only involved residential style breakers.
The FPE commercial and industrial bolt-on stuff was always considered as a top line product. But everything FPE is more than 45 years old at the youngst.

But as Elect117 said, it is up to the insurance companies.
 
Thank you everyone for the feedback back I thought federal pacific lost their UL listing because of the industrial/commercial side but that is what I heard from another electrician and I kinda wanted to see what everyone else's thoughts were
