Does 501.25 preclude the use of a 120vac Hermetic Sealed Relay (Octal) with a Finger-Safe Base/Socket in a C1-D2 area due to the "visible" terminals on the base?

If the answer is no, how about a Din-Rail Terminal Block Assembly with the same finger-safe" style terminals?

I'm not sure how to interpret "uninsulated exposed".

Exposed (as applied to live parts). Capable of being inadvertently
touched or approached nearer than a safe distance
by a person. It is applied to parts that are not suitably
guarded, isolated, or insulated
.

It would not be exposed if it is inside an enclosure.

Thanks, but I'm still missing something...

It says "that operate at more than 30 volts". Per your definition that would appear to mean "30v outside an enclosure is fine".

I'm not trying to be difficult, I just don't get it.
