No information from power company. Talked to neighbors and all had a similar drop. Thus, all three phases dropped and it was mostly likely a voltage regulator problem, but seems like a large drop.
The best information I have on the fire a year ago in Greenfield Village at the Sarah Jordan Boarding House is that it was not electrical but caused by roofing workers. The damage was not severe and it has been restored.
More years ago, maybe 10, there was a fire in the Ford homestead in the Village that was electrical. If I remember correctly it was in the basement in a ceiling box.
Much of the interior wiring in the Village was done in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. Several years ago the infrastructure (electrical, gas, water, communication) was redone. Use of tunnels was eliminated. But I doubt that the work included much interior wiring.
In the 1930s Francis Jehl was the presenter in the Menlo Park complex. He was very knowledgeable on the subject matter since he was Edison's assistant at the time of the development of the dynamo called "Long-Legged Mary Ann" and the incandescent lamp, 1879. Today the presenters have very little technical knowledge.
My recollection from a very long time ago was that the wiring in the Boarding House may have been knob and tube.
