I,m going to finishing wiring on a modular factory built commercial building that has multiple home runs of 14 gauge NM cable (in the crawl space). I,m trying to find the code article for this so I can make my case to the modular building Manufacturer.

Local amendment or design issue is the only reason to not use #14 and 15amp circuits

Is it a local code or local myth?

How about this I know its a local code not sure if its a NC amendment.
Is that better?

It is not an NC amendment and if I were you, I'd ask the local inspector where I could find it in writing.

Sometimes it does become a search for the truth.

OK Ive been told by several inspectors in the past it is not legal.......
I thought it was on web site.........havent found it....
Called one said it is.....told him I dont see it....says he will find it monday for me to call him.......I thought this was fact...you dont see 14 in comm here....
But if it is a myth I will admit and post.......I was spreading myths:D
