I am doing some offices and the plans do not show whether the outlets for each office should be 20 or 15 A, the circuit is protected by a 20 amp breaker. It is very unlikely that one outlet will be loaded to the 20 amps, I'm just wondering what the code requirements are. Thanks

sorry I found it, I was looking at the wrong place 210.19 A2 but that talks about the conductor, the right place is table 210.21b3. thanks

We usually find this information written in the spec and not on the drawings. For the most part we find that commercial 20 amp circuits get spec'd with 20 amp receptacles. As stated, the code would allow either 15 or 20 amp duplex receptacles on a 20 amp circuit.
