18 thhn

how many 18 thhn wire can we pull through 3/8 trade size flexible metal conduit
i did not find the answer hopefully somebody would

Are you sure it is thhn. Art. 402 does not list it for thhn and I don't see #18 thhn anywhere else. I would call the manufacturer and get the area of the wire.

It looks like TFFN may be equivalent

I think it may be a trick question, the smallest THHN I am aware of is #14. When I use smaller single conductors I usually use TFFN

I agree it looks that way. T402.3 lists all of the fixture wires and there is no #18 THHN. 310.104(A) says THHN starts at size #14.
