"Listed pkg units utilizing a factory-installed remote panelboard shall be permitted to be connected with not more than 6' of L.T. flex conduit...."

What if the package unit does not have a remote panelboard? Does this mean no L.T. flex conduit is permitted?

If the spa is a "package unit", then it would usually have control panel or panelboard for all equipment and components. How do you serve the motor and associated equipment?

It appears the intention of the code is that the spa can be connected by a flexible means if you meet the provision of (a) or you must wire to the specifications of Part A and B of Article 680 which may not allow the use of LFC for equipment connection. :)

thanx Brian - I haven't opened this unit up yet (will be inspecting in tomorrow)...but it has a dedicated 220v, 30A ckt for the motor and a 20A, 110 ckt for other components being wired via LT...I thought there was a possibility there would not be a panelboard inside once I opened it up.
