I have a 3PH, 4W 120/208Y panel with a full complement of 1P breakers across all 3 phases.

Does each 1P branch breaker wire color need to indicate by color the phase it is on?

Black wire - Ckt 1 --- Ckt 2 - Black wire
Red wire - Ckt 3 --- Ckt 4 - Red wire
Blue wire - Ckt 5 --- Ckt 6 - Blue wire

If the premises has more than one voltage system you are required to identify the circuits in a distinct manner. Most often this is bu color.
See 210.5 & 200.6
If there are not two voltage systems then the only requirement is to identify grounded and grounding distinctively, not the phase conductors.

Unless it's a Delta Highleg.
The B phase is orange.
🐴 beating a dead horse here.

Seems to depend on where/when the system was installed. When I was doing VFD field work out of Cleveland, orange was B phase regardless of the configuration. When I went to Columbus, orange became delta high, while B phase on wye was violet.
