Bad bulb/lamp.

You offered to replace free of charge and re-lamp all the premise fixtures at no cost, and install a couple of receptacles for free while there to offset the customer's inconvenience for your shoddy work and cheap equipment.

Bad switch, you replaced.

They said, "Oh by the way, this main panel looks like it needs replacing." and you sold the job (with lifetime warranty add-on of course.)

The lady knocked over the "lamp made out of a women's leg with fishnet stockings that the man won in a major award" and broke the bulb. The bulb breaking caused a short and the man ran out of fuses to replace it. The fuse also protected the light you installed.

The joke around many electrical Contractors; Lifetime warranties are good until you get your 10% retainage!

...Yep, my dog is English:)
Not sure why that jumped out at me yesterday.

My dog? Pure El Paso mutt. She does like being in the truck. And a dog in a truck is a happy truck:thumbsup:

I'm sure that would apply to an English dog in a right-hand drive car.

"Ooooh look, it must be Italian... It says "Fra-geel-eh" on the side of it!"

You stopped by only to find the person had gone blind.
Seeing this you had them sign a lifetime service contact on the new fixtures you didn't install.

Well, what's the answer?

Did you give a lifetime warranty on the installation? If you did I would guess that you would have to honor it.

I really can't think of anything that we install that I would be willing to give a lifetime warranty on. I don't manufacture light fixtures so I don't have any idea how long they will last.

What did happen?

Bulb

Bulb

Sorry for major delay. Yes, basically a can light I installed really long ago the bulb finally went bad. I give lifetime warrantee on all "workmanship". As I tried to get my service call fee and got a blank stare then argumentative how the lifetime is on install and not a light bulb I finally gave up and said it's on me for now have a happy holiday and moved on. I think people hear the word lifetime and nothing else after it maybe. No major loss of time just couldn't believe she thought I gave lifetime warranty on light bulbs.

That should have been discussed on the phone and saved you a trip out for free.
