This type of question generally depends on the type of conductor. For THHN, as an example, you need 2 inch. For RHH, a 2 inch will hold 4 conductors of size 2/0, but in order to figure out whether a ground would also fit you need to calculate the actual areas of the conductors. But you can find this information in Annex C of the NEC.

thanks, i don't have a copy of the NEC...a customer of mine was asking me, so i will pass along the info. I will sell him 2&1/2 just to be safe, thanks for the help

Can someone shed some light on how to determine whether you use Table 8, conductor properties, or Annex C, conductor insulation for fill calculations.
