Hi all,

Can someone show me where to find a 2-1/2″ PVC Meter Offset in the US?
I can find 1-1/2" and 2" everywhere locally... 2-1/2" in Canada on-line. But nowhere in the US!

I've for 6 - 3/0 running through it, so 2" won't work as the max is 5 - 3/0 in a 2"

Thanks all!

This is a 320a meter feeding into two vertically stacked 200a disconnects.
6 - 3/0 wires coming out of the meter through the 2 1/2" meter offset into the bottom disconnect. 3 of the 3/0 connect to that disconnect, the other 3 go through the hub at the top of that box into the bottom of the second disconnect

That is correct for 40% fill on 2" Schedule 40 for 3/0 THWN-2 conductors. However, based on your description, the total run between enclosures sounds like it's under 24", in which case you may use 60% fill per Chapter 9 Table 1 Note 4. Meaning a 2" conduit would be OK for (6) 3/0 THWN-2.

Cheers, Wayne

IPEX makes them. Maybe get one online.

You are correct, it's only 7" between the meter box and the discount box.
Thank you so much for this, it saves me a lot of time trying to get a 2.5"

Nixak - Yes, IPEX does make them... They just don't sell them in the US for some reason.

I once had a similar issue and used a 2-1/2” metallic rigid offset nipple, threaded coupling, and a chase nipple. I never thought about the 60% fill, I’m going to try to keep that in the back of my mind for future installations.
