2 2008 NEC Rules are already in effect

There are two rules in the 2005 NEC that take effect Jan 1, 2008.
Combination AFCI's
Disconnects for ballasts
I wonder how many electricians are aware of this? If they had a 2005 NEC Update they should, but we'll see.
I haven't seen a combo AFCI yet, but I have a ballast disconnect (well ok its a little orange plug) sitting on my desk.

I see all the fixtures I'm installing lately have the ballast disconnects from the factory. An Ideal rep gave me a container of ballast disconnects to use for my change outs and service calls that are ballast related. The ballast disconnects have push-in wire connections (Wago style), but luckily the ballasts aren't much of a load normally.
