this may be a stupid question but we have a project where the lights in all of the sales area are dual level switching with 2 3-ways on either side of the room. there are 2 circuits feeding the lights. 1 ballast on 1 circuit and the other on the other. is there a problem with having 208 v in the same 2x4 lay-in. doesn't it have to be specially rated or something. the really bad part was because we are daisy chaining them I thought we couldn't use 12/3 mc cable we were going to have to use 2- 12/2's because of the seperate neutrals but then i realized i havent released the gear yet so Ill just make them all 2 pole breakers.

If your concerned that the voltage is too high, remember that alot of lighting is 277 volt.

Right, and stick with the 12/3. That wiring compartment is packed enough already.

I had to Echo-sketch this out, you'll have a 12/7 some where...

That's funny. I don't think he is running the 3-ways through the lights.

66/33 lighting is very common in prarie farms (office cubicles) inboard /outboard lamps. The glare on the computer screens usually wants the customers to only use the single inboard lamp as sufficient light to work yet not glare the screens.
