2" Fixture Box?

Need to pick your brains... Customer bought some fixtures from Japan or somewhere, no name brand.

Anyway.. the base is only 2.3" so not even a 3" pancake would work. Do they make a 2" box? Im waiting for a callback from supply house. Wondering if you had any other ideas.

No brackets came with it. Just some wall anchors and screws. Do they expect the splice to be inside the wall? SMH

He got the 80cm one. The 100cm would work since its 10cm (3.93")

Agreed.. what are lamp specs? It might go down below in the cabinet..
No box... low volt cable...
Never let a woman (god bless them) pick fixtures.. "yer gonna hate them, i installed them before"
Lie.

Haha, true about woman picking them.
No specs, No brand, No Reviews.

They expecting a throw away box in the wall or have the edges of a box showing? Crazy

Trying to contact seller but you know how that goes for overseas products.

I wonder if they want us to bring the wire into the back and just screw the thing to the wall. There was a 1/2" knockout. The 2" base acts as the terminating box?

Dude, what lamp spec?! Thats the key...
Some specs are missing. Anyway, if its a remote driver put it below the sink.. just cover both romex and lv betwixt switch box, j-box and fixture.. j.i. case

Tell the customer you will not install non listed fixtures (luminaires).

Many countries don't use boxes. They just stub a wire out of the wall, make the connection and mount the fixture. Their wall are also concrete/masonry.

only thing I can think of are those mud in receptacles where all you see is a small circle of the nema receptacle

Whether it meets listing requirements or not, seems it was designed for the wiring method to directly enter the fixture instead of mounting over an outlet box and making connections in said outlet box.

This assuming your mentioned 1/2" knockout was a 1/2 raceway KO (approx 7/8") and not actually 1/2".

Typical Amazon. Brand is Generic, so you can't contact the manufacturer.
If they can't write a legible description (what is Modern Black and d?) i wouldn't expect much out of them including UL.

Temu, Wayfair, and a few others are good at this as well.
