so with knowing what a PF is with motors....

is this the formula for calculating current?

HP x 746/ E x %EFF x PF x 1.73

And, do you use the overall starting amps or the rating amps to find wire size?
 
size the motor circuits to the tables 430.247 - 430.250

size the wire 125% larger than the numbers in the table and ground fault and short circuit protection to 430.52

size the motor overload protection to the nameplate FLA

430.22 needs to be looked at too
