One thing for sure, putting both circuits, on one breaker, will not improve anything. The number one service call item we have is overloaded branch circuits.
In which case, it would be no worse than the hundreds of others out there. ;)

It looks like you are showing a Branch/Feeder Type AFCI. If aptman3 is working under the next iteration of requirements from the NEC, he will be required to install a Combination Type AFCI.

As yet, CH isn't listing a two pole Combination AFCI in their catalog.

I agree with Scott that a two pole Combination AFCI is available from Siemens.
