Furthermore i didn't fully read the site rules and wasn't aware if there's a code book possession requirement.
Please understand it's the site's owner, Mike Holt, who made the rules as a matter of liability.

He wants to make sure only those in electrical trades participate because of potential risks.

He can't assume that non-professionals know the rest of the stuff they're not asking about.

It's obvious you didn't read the rules. In one of your first threads you were asked what your connection to the electrical trade is and you didn't answer. These forums are for electrical professionals and by admitting you don't have a code book you are pretty much admitting you are not really a professional, maybe a handyman or a DIYer. A tradesman needs to have the proper tools and in this profession a code book is as important as side cutters.
Digital edition.

Everyone is making it sound like the digital edition doesn't justify and I need to have a hardcopy to hold a professional status. Its 2024.

Does the PDF version qualify? Or should I order a hardcopy?
Sure it does and it has the same articles and sections as the hard copy. It has 210.7 which is what the inspector tagged you for. So there's no reason to think he was calling you for some made up rule

Please quote the message where I said the inspector made up any rules.

Here's the deal, you say you have a digital copy of a code book that doesn't exist but regardless it should have 210.7 which is what you were complaining about being called for in post #19. Now, tell us what connects you to the electrical trades as spelled out in the forum rules.

This site is designed for:

  • Electrical Contractors
  • Electricians
  • Engineers
  • Inspectors
  • Instructors
* This NEC Forum is for those in the electrical and related industries. Questions of a "How-To" nature by persons not involved in the electrical industry will be removed without notice.

I'm an electrical enegineer

The digital edition is available for purchase right through NFPA!!

Complaining does not mean it doesn't exist, me insisting it doesn't exist, nor did I challenge the inspector. I used a 2 pole and passed. Relax and stop making assumptions. Further more I was posting past experiences regarding 2 pole mbwc.

At this point be a real man and delete my posts, lock the thread, or use the ban hammer.

Well engineers, are allowed to post engineering info associated with their job-related tasks. They are not electricians or installers.

This Forum is intended to assist professional electricians, inspectors, engineers, and other members of the electrical industry in the performance of their job-related tasks. However, if you are not an electrician or an electrical contractor, then we are not permitted to help you perform your own electrical installation work.

Now concerning your last sentence quit being dramatic and do as infinity said.

It has not been available for purchase for the past two, maybe three code cycles. It is no only the subscription "Link" service for electronic viewing.
