Can anyone answer why, with a 2-speed one winding motor, the connection is:
Speed, L1,L2,L3 Note
Low, T1,T2,T3 T4,T5,T6 open
High, T6,T4,T5 T1,T2,T3 Together

Why isn't High T4,T5,T6 ? Phase sequence is the same, right??

Must have to do with the way a two speed single winding motor is wound. I just checked a couple of other sources, including some MCC wiring diagrams, they all show the high speed pahse sequence to be T6, T4, T5 (ABC).

ptc,

Draw a 'delta' windings diagram. start on the top right thats #1 the other end is #4, now

go to the bottom winding, on the right is #2 the other end is #5, next, on the top left is

#6 and the other end is #3.

ok, so top is 6 and 1 or A-ph, bottom right is 2 and 4 or B-ph, and bottom left is 3 and 5

or C-ph. Make sense now ?
