200 amp main breaker in 125amp panel?

A better strategy might be to get the panel on which the sticker says 200A, swap a 125A breaker into it, and hold on to the factory 200A breaker for your later plans. I say 'might' because regardless you have to get poco and AHJ to agree.
If it says 200 amp POCO wants to upgrade the service lat. And they want $4k for the wire install alone. Trying to get this panel installed soon so I can do the solar at the house and get my 30% credit. Once I'm saving the money from the poco I can afford/justify the $4k. But looks like if I really want to do the 200a it's going to be the same song and dance later down the road. New panel the whole 9.

What did you finally decide to do? Did you go with the like-for-like 125, or bit the bullet and go to 200? From what I understand, these panels are all the same except for main and labelling.
