Hi Guys,

Looking for some guidance on the size and type of aluminum under ground cable I need if I want to bury the cable and supply 200amp service from my house meter to a barn nearly 400 feet away. The barn has one piece of equipment that requires 240 volts (in case that matters).

I plan to use a typical residential panel in the barn... I mention that because I've read some forum posts that warn about larger cable sizes and terminating the cable into a standard load center / panel box.

Thanks in advance for your help!
