Is it correct that the new electric code be adopted by July 1, 2005? The arrata gives a date of August 2005. What is correct? Thanks KCK

Re: 2004 cal electric code

It depends on where you are, and if you are talking about the 2005 NEC. N.C. adopted it in March, some states won't adopt it for quite sometime, even years to come.

You can try to find it on CA.'s Building Code site

http://www.bsc.ca.gov/

I have a hard time finding things there, but I think it's there somewhere.

I wouldn't take any bets on anything actually happening on the dates they forcast.

Our state public health dept. is still on the 1993 codes. As far as I know, no plans to update. I guess that way they don't have to buy new ones.

Physis:

Our governor has the "testicular veracity" to close his inlaws' landfill. :D
