If anyone here has the 2008 NEC on CD, please PM me. Methinks there's some illegal bootleg copies floating 'round, mine included. :mad:
 
Who did you buy it from? I got the hand book on CD and the soft bound NEC from the NFPA. They only allow two downloads of the CD so if someone repackaged it after two downloads you're stuck. Although if this is the case it should work when in the CD drive.
 
Every year there's been CD's, there's been bootleg copies. Some are very convincing. I'm holding one in my hand right now that I know is bootleg, when I bought it I knew it was bootleg, but it looks totally convincing, right down to the pad printed art on the CD.

Mine is stricly the '08 in .pdf format only. No FolioView. NFPAs website state that the '99, '02 and '05 .pdfs are included, but this one I have does not have them either.

So I have a bootleg copy, not produced by the NFPA. Very convincing, though. But it's got a label on the CD, not a professionaly-produced CD, and although it comes with an installation program, all it does is put the .pdf as an icon on my desktop.

So where would one buy a legal NEC 2008 CD? I only possess a soft copy printed on paper (yuck)

What utopia having something to zoom in on. Reading glasses are ruining my life. Notwithstanding it may accelerate the process of this CSA 22.2 born brain migrated into UL508A by using the PDF binoculars to find NEC 2008 stuff faster.

I got mine from Amazon and it is the real McCoy. Be careful of those ebay buys.
