We would need to see the label or know the model number to answer that.

Look for numbers like 3030 (no tandems) or 3040 (10 tandems).

ALWAYS check with the manufacturer to see if they allow it. That process MIGHT be as simple as just reading the label they put on the inside of the door showing you the bus arrangement. But if that label is gone, it becomes a lot more difficult.

What I see with siemens is that the panel and breaker rated at 10kaic has a 2 space main and at 22kaic it has 4 space main. Not sure if same with other mfg.

Read the label on the inside of the cover, it will tell you the Max branch circuit size and type allowed in this panel. Most of this style are limited to 100 amp max branch circuits and tell you were it needs to be placed on the bussing.
