How much GFCI protection is inherent in a 2013 AFCI Breaker compared to todays AFCI/GFCI breaker? Customer has an outside recessed wall light that has the glass behind the louver removed.

How much GFCI protection
GE Mod.3 was the first AFCI breaker to pass UL1699 without any ground fault feature.

Dual function breakers use Class A, 6 mA GFCI rather than 30mA GFPE.

However, pitonsparky is correct --no GFCI required-- if no outdoor receptacles are involved, and --no AFCI's required-- If no indoor rooms are involved.

Ten years is a lot of time in the that style of breaker.
I would be more inclined to repair the fixture than to rely on CBs to save life/property or prevent a shock.
Unfortunately the customer had the glass lens removed because the fixture was accumulating too much moisture. He would rather live with the risks involved and use some GFCI protection as a Hail Mary pass.
