As NYS is about to adopt the 2023 NEC, and make some drastic energy code changes, I am trying educate myself on Energy Management Systems and how to incorporate them into new designs. I watched Ryan Jackson's video on 220.70 and he made it sound like you can basically size the load how you would like and program the management system to handle the rest (obvious with some validity).
Does anyone have experience with the systems and can share how they have integrated them? Can you use them to size your service entrance equipment? Do any of the big equipment companies provide training for these systems? Any Pros & Cons from person experience?
