2023 NEC kitchen island receptacles non-dwelling

Hello all,

There was a healthy discussion regarding the requirements for a receptacle at kitchen islands per 210.52(C)(3). This section only refers to dwelling units though. 2023 NEC kitchen islands and peninsulas

Are there any restrictions placing receptacles to the side of kitchen islands in a non-dwelling(commercial) space? The area does qualify as a kitchen per definitions in Art. 100.

Since kitchen islands in non-dwelling is not mentioned it seems there are no requirements for or restrictions against any location as described in the section mentioned. Do you agree or am I missing something?

You are correct. There are no rules for the location of kitchen island receptacles other than for dwelling units.
