Doing a clean room and I have three pieces of equipment that require 208V, 3 phase power. None come with a main MOCP or disconnect in the equipment. My knee jerk reaction is to put in an external disconnect local to the equipment. This room is too crowded for me to do that. The source panel is just outside the room but not in sight. I believe I'll be ok with just the panel circuit breaker as disconnect. Do you agree?

Do I need to have lockout ability on the breaker permanently installed?

Any other concerns?

Thanks,

Mike

Imo a supervised/limited access facility with qualified personnel can use a lockable ckt brk
you may want a washdown rated cord plug set or even one with a built in disconnect

when I need a lead for a solution
visit an existing facility to see how it's been done before, what works
talk to the maint/facility guys and see what they like
