Hello all,
i have a 208v machine with a water tub behind it that draws water from. The feed for the machine is on so cord so there is potential (not likely but not impossible the cord falls in the tub). The machine requires only 2 Hots and a ground. i would like to install a bolt on gfi breaker to protect everything but there is no neutral load.
will the gfi still do it’s job without it?

Absolutely, yes, as long as the breaker's neutral pigtail is properly connected to the panel's neutral bus.

A GFCI detects current not passing through it, but does not depend on the load having a neutral wire.
Thank you! They are frikkin expensive, but I feel I have to do the right thing and get the right breaker.
