Photocells designed for 2 wire 208V switching have 3 wires; Line 1, Load 1, and “neutral” or Line 2. I understand that line 1 is just a switching contact for Load 1, however, I’m confused how the Line 2 is at works here.
I’ve read that Line 2 is used for a 120V reference as some of the sensor electronics require it, however, this does not make sense for me as the only return path for the current would be ground, right?
I’m really just curious how Line 2 is functioning within the PC. I can not find much information on this online.
