Bob ,if you just give in they will not stop. But thats up to you and they gotta write some red tags, so they will say kool this is Bob's job and he won't fight me on a red tag :D

Re: 210.52(B)(1)

you certainly do live in a different world from mine. There is no pressure on me to "red tag", in fact, the contrary is probably true. I doubt if there is a "quota" in your area, and if an inspector is looking for red tag areas i imagine he can find them without checking your jobs. IMHO, the only difference would be the satisfaction he gets when he is able to find a violation on your job. :)

You don't have that much free time. :D

Re: 210.52(B)(1)

Scott, that is a very good point. :D

I thought "cave in to inspector" was part of the job discription for Tampa electrical people, at least it is to hear the Tampa members talk. ;)

Re: 210.52(B)(1)

not just Tampa but all of Florida including lower Alabama. The code is minimum. However iCan run romex through pvc pipe in a slab. There are many other violations that we get away with. However dont put your company sticker on a panel cover and see how fast you fail. Its a joke here in Fl and LA. Dont strap mc cable just run it behind studs and you pass

Re: 210.52(B)(1)

WoW!
Thanks for the responses

I have to wait till Monday, But I'm going to show him 210.52(B)(3) If that don't work I'll have my state AHJ call him. Here in Indiana a local AHJ or unit of government can't do there own interpretation of the code as it is adopted at state level.
They have to enforce the state adopted Indiana electrical code with amendments.
He's not a bad guy just go off in the wrong direction once in a while. :D

Yes. That is what I get for posting a reply from home, when I don't have a copy of the NEC handy to check what I am typing.
