Would a finished wooden she shed with wooden floors about a foot above grade require all receptacles to be GFCI protected per article 210.8(A)(2)?

They don't plan to run any power tools. Just TV, minifridge, microwave, coffee pot, computer.

IMO, yes, GFCI required.

It’s above grade so no. I would just because of what Tom said, but it’s not what if with the code. Be prepared to fight with inspector.

Also, with the TV and other amenities present, sounds like this shed is not "limited to storage areas, work areas, and areas of similar use."

The language of that section is poor....I have never seen a garage with the floor at grade level. They are always an inch or two above grade.

With this structure having the floor a foot above grade, the rule in 210.8(A)(2) does not apply.

With occupied rooms, sinks or counter tops, other code sections may require GFCI or AFCI.

The inspector said that all of the receptacles need to be GFCI protected. I didn't argue about it with him.
