Would a cafeteria ,which has a coffee maker, sink, microwave, Refrigator, be required to have all outlets GFCI,as 210.8B3.

Re: 210.8B3

Charlie is correct, the 2002 requires nondwelling kitchen receptacles to be GFCI, the 2005 goes on to define kitchens as an area with a sink and permanent facilities for food preparation and cooking. Even though the 2005 doesn't apply yet in most cases, it gives some insight into what kitchens are supposed to be.

There is little argument here.

Re: 210.8B3

210.8(B)(3) is new in '02 NEC & '05 NEC does offer a little bit of insight.

We are about to finish construction of a new 21,000 sq. ft. employees' cafeteria on our industrial facility. It has hand-washing sinks & large 2-bowl & 3-bowl sinks all over the place in the food prep. & food service areas.

I've never seen so many GFCI recepts. in one place.
Most of the 120V. commercial "appliances" will be new. I really hope that we do not have trip problems with the GFCIR's.
Yes, I did not use the term "nuisance trip".
