HI,
I'm studding for my masters.
And going through Multifamily Calculations. in one of the questions was about 10x 8k Ranges.
the book says use column b in table 220.55 = 27.20k.
I was thinking I should be using column C @ 25k for minimum.

The way i understood in column A and B were options to Column C. and you should use the lower.
Am i wrong in my thinking?

That is my understanding.
The use of column A&B is optional.
In some cases, such as this, column C gives you a more conservative number.

I use to think Col, C was for ranges over 8 3/4kw up to 27 kw using Note 1. It is hard to know what the test is looking for but I would guess if they said 8 kw they want Col. B. Imo those are bad questions.

After taking a break, I'm confident note 3 explains it.
thanks for the replies.
Note 3 is optional, it says "it shall be permissible." You can still use Column C if you prefer, which you should, as it gives a smaller answer. If your test says otherwise, it is wrong.

Cheers, Wayne
