Hello,

I am working on a 6 story - 50 unit dorm for a university. This is my first mulit dwelling unit project. I am trying to get a handle on all the diversification I can apply.

Each unit will have an electric stove.... I think I have that under control with 220.55.

So... I am moving on to the unit itself. 220.84...I believe I can take advantage of.

I meet the requirement of (A) - 1, 2, and 3. I have individual panel in each unit, I have electric cooking stove, and I have a central heating / cooling unit in each unit. This unit has a heat pump w/ supplemental heating.

Am I correct in thinking I can use the table in 220.84.... remember be nice...this is my first multi dwelling unit...

Bob you are a real winner! "They guy".... good job Bobby...

If you do not have any good input why come on a site like this? I can't ask questions?

Don't feel bad, your question was just as unnecessary as many of the other questions in other threads:grin:

Besides, I'll put your 4785 posts against his 47 any day:smile:

I have never done a MFD but it appears you can use T220.84 for the service or for a feeder that feeds at least 3 units.

This was an unnecessary comment. Bob's response was not out of line. IMO. -- Let's keep it civil.

would it not make more sense to ask they guy that has to put his seal on the drawings?
I think this is a reasonable question. If this project has not been designed by a capable electrical person, engineer or other, then it should have been.
If you are the electrical contractor and the designer as you go , then by your own comments you do not seem to be capable of doing both jobs.

It is unreasonable to ask, or receive feedback, on whether or not I can utilize T220.84 on an informational / forum type site..?

If we have individuals that have more experience than others...good for them, I do not believe they should take a shot at another individual just because they are looking for some input.

It was my opinion that I could utilize the table and was looking for some confirmation. I apologize for that.

No, It is not unreasonable at all and I believe I answered that.

I think this whole problems stems from your misinterpretation of Bob's post. I believe he was trying to be helpful not sarcastic.

I concur with you that T220.84 is usable in this situation as I have stated. No need to apologize for that. Let's put these bad feelings behind us and enjoy the show.
