220V on 14-3?

We are installing a mini split AC unit that requires 220V at 15A.
#14 wire is rated for 15A, so is it acceptable to wire this with 14-3 or is that 15A rating only for 120V circuits?

How is the cable labeled?
Most of what's commercially available in the United States is rated for 600 volts.

What is the MCA and Max OCPD of the unit? And why are you using 14/3?
