Two part question:
-are there any provisions that would allow for a 200 amp MTS to be installed on a service with 225 amp main breaker panel?

-does anyone make a 225 amp MTS, SE rated?

Thanks

Just my WAG that you would be stuck with a 400 amp double throw safety switch, I do not think you will find a 225 amp unit.

I agree, MTS's go from 200 amp to 400 amp. Your only choices are a 200 amp breaker or fuses in front of the MTS or what Iwire said, a 400 amp switch.

Yea, that seems to be what I am finding out. Just got back from a quick trip to get breaker catalog number. Right now I am waiting for a price comparison on changing 225 breaker to 200 and a 200 MTS vs. as-is with a 400 MTS. My guess is new breaker and 200 amp MTS will be the cheaper route.

Well I know Zenith does for sure, and some others might, but they are not common and that usually means more expensive than the standard sizes.

MTS are cheap, and really a 400A should not cost much more thana 200A.
