230.90 ex 3 basically states that when two to six ocpds are used to disconnect a service, you can size conductors to the the load even if the ampacity is less than the sum of the disconnects. Say you have a typical duplex situation: two gang meter socket with two sets of SE conductor to two non-grouped disconnects, one in each unit. Can the ampacity of the conductors between the wx head and the meters be sized by the load per this rule?
