Conductors have to be of the same insulation rating. Check the markings on the wire before you install it. A lot of the low voltage cables are rated ar 300 volts while most of the wiring for 120 volt equipment is rated at 600 volts. If you're installing a fire alarm system and running wire in the same conduit with 120 volt equipment you may end up having problems caused by induction depending on what the 120 vac wire is feeding. Check sections 760.26 and 27
