Hello,
I have just started as a missionary in New Orleans. I started working on a building and found that a lot of the stuff doesn't work. No 120 at some receptacles, lights, along with other things. Opened up the panel and found something that I am not familiar with at all. From what I can tell it is 240/120 3 phase. Three conductors come into three busses. One conductor for the neutral, and I've got a ground. After taking some readings, I am completely confused. (There are also no prints for this building). I will list my readings below, but the main thing that I'm confused about is having 220 VAC to ground on my second phase. Also I am getting 0 VAC on my third phase. Any help or links to help would be much appreciated.
A-B: 224
A-C: 145
B-C: 226
A-N: 145
B-N: 223
C-N: 1
A-G: 145
B-G: 223
C-G: 1
Also, there are 3-pole breakers in this panel. They are rated for 240V. If there are any words of wisdom for these (how they work, what voltage is on each phase, or anything like they) it would be much appreciated. Also, these breakers go to large HVAC units. I am sorry if some of these questions seem kind of elementary, I am just ignorant about this type of stuff.
Thanks
