I would have to sit for the level 2 and 3 exams first (And work for a NETA accreddited company). For level 4 you need 10 years experience in the testing industry and over 700 hours of documented training.

Here are the requirements for the exams.

This is what it takes for a company to become NETA accreddited.

First of all. Alot of great information. Thank you.

Second. Where would you find if said company truly is accreddited by NETA? The reason i ask is that the Techs that came to our site didn't know how to test our grounding system. The prior years a local contractor would use a clamp on tester. I wanted something more accurate and asked for a point to point.

A clamp type ground electrode tester, properly used, is a very good way of getting an estimate of the resistance of an individual ground electrode. That information may be useful in improving the GES itself.
But for testing the bonding integrity, the point to point test is preferable, as long as you recognize that it does not tell you anything about the actual resistance to earth.

They will be listed here.

Clamp on measurement is not accepted by NETA. It has been discussed here many times, clamp on method has many limitations on when it can even be used, and even then they are often in the hands of paople that have no idea how to use them.

Point to point is for bonding checks, think you mean 3 (Or 4) point fall of potential. Thats the test you want and is the only one that you can rely on because you get proof it is accurate when done right (Plauteu region on the graph they should give you)

Clamp On Ground Testing

We have been using HIOKI clamp on meters to proof earth grounds. Did not know that they where not approved, our local power company uses them. ???
