Hello,

I am looking at a design where it is a ground-mount solar array with a customer owned transformer. The current design has a Neutral-Ground bond at the transformer secondary to a GEC with SSBJ's from the transformer to the Solar Disconnect (480V). At the Disconnect we then have an isolated neutral.

Per 250.30(A)(1) Exception No. 2, I am being told that we can remove the need for SSBJ's and have a System Bonding Jumper at both the Customer Transformer and the Customer Disconnect and remove the need for SSBJ's and only run the 3 phases and neutral between the Customer Transformer and the Customer Disconnect. Is this correct?

Seems correct to me as long as the language of the exception properly applies to the installation situation.
