I am still wrenching with the correct book answer versus the practablity. Pedestal owned by the power company, 200 amp main. Demarcation is the breaker (line side.) As per 2008 NEC, art 100 and the others, This is the service equipment and the 82 and 1/2 ft of conductors from that breaker to the next panel, (be it a panel on a post, factory ordered panel about to feed a trailer, or a panel on a building, home) Shall be a 4 wire feeder? Yes?(as per 250.32 B) and if so AM I to require service rated equipment at the end of that 4 wire feeder? And will this equipment (service rated) have design for a grounding bar kit to isolate it from the neutral while still grounding the can? The practablity is to have the old three wire service to the structure and derive the GES at that location. (180 linear feet of rebar, versus two ground rods out at the pedestal). Weeeeeeee, that was tough, Oh, and thanks.
