I know Mule likes these kind of postings. I would say, my top 3 are:

1. what happens when you lose a neutral @ the svc (or up on the phonepole xfr) in a house.
2. advice on tools
3. bonding

1. I've learned to better appreciate where I live as it pertains to being a EC and the cost of running a business as well as the quality of my customers
2. I've also learned that some of my antique pre-concieved code knowledge is not always correct.
3. I've also learned to like ole Bob.....:D

I don't know if I call these valuable or not.

1) Dirt is not important to the operation of an electrical system

2) It may be a 'National' code but interpretation varies widely.

3) Highly technical questions can be answered in one or two posts, but ask how to put a lock nut on, which way up does the ground go, how to put a 1 hole strap on or how to charge the customer and lookout, Mike H has to buy more servers.:D

I don't have three specific things. Learning not to undersell yourself would be the primary lesson that I have learned. One thing that I have always believed and I have seen here is that someone else has done what you are trying to do and will have advice on what or what not to do. Also the silliest (sp?) things will cause the biggest arguments.

I guess that was three.

AMEN!

1. The more I learn the more I know that I don't know.
2. There is no end to what I've yet to see.
3. There are much smarter electricians in the world than some I have had the displeasure to work with, and that gives me hope.
