I am working with a 3 Phase 4 Wire 208Y/120 system and was tring to calculate the Amp load using kVA.

My question is when I get my total kVA do I divide by 208*1000 to get amps or by 360*1000 because it is a 4 wire system?

Thanks

Please note that 208 times 1.732 is about 360. You use that factor (the square root of three) because it is a three phase system, not because it is a four wire system.

Amps = KVA x 1000/ 208 x 1.73
Number of wires does not factor to calculation.

Hope this helps.
It would help more if it were expressed correctly ;)
I or Amperes = kVA ? 1,000 ? 208 ? 1.732, or
I or Amperes = kVA ? 1,000 ? (208 ? 1.732)
